A: Not any more. The home improvement tax credits provided under the Energy Policy Act of 2005 expired on December 31, 2007. If you purchased eligible high-efficiency heating or cooling equipment in 2006 or 2007 you could be eligible; if you did not claim the credit you could file an amended return. Some legislators have indicated a desire to present legislation that would renew the credit.
